indepth 650 hour Advanced Studies and Teacher-Training program designed
for serious, self-motivated practitioners with impossible schedules
or who live faraway, and who want to deepen their practice and/or teaching!
This program combines the best of live class experience, personal contact
with experienced & exciting teachers and a comprehensive home
program. It will qualify you for a 650 hour Yoga Mendocino Teaching
Certificate that is recognised by Yoga Alliance at the 500 RYT level.
It consists of:
- 3 x SUMMER INTENSIVES - These 100 hour intensives are held annually
at the beginning of August and taught by Mary Paffard and guest teachers.
They always include Experiential and Energetic anatomy, Philosophy,
a 5 day Teaching Methodology course and a 5 day Advanced Practice session.
- 2 YEAR HOME STUDY COURSE - monitored by the core faculty on a monthly
basis Course requirements also include- 40 weekly class hour, 30 hours
of assisting and observing, 50 workshop hours and attendance at a 5-10
day silent retreat.....and a lot of both committment and fun!

If you are interested in deeper potentials for healing, and sharing
that healing with the world, don't miss this in-depth learning opportunity

course in Yoga Therapy gives students exposure to important Yogic tools
and techniques for bringing healing and well-being to oneself and others.
Students will learn the Yoga Therapy diagnostic methods, which include
patient intake and assessment, basic ayurvedic and postural diagnoses,
yoga psychology, and how to develop referral relationships with health
care professionals. In individual classes, the causes and development
of disease are considered from both Western and Ayurvedic viewpoints.
Students will learn Yoga Therapy methods for managing or healing a variety
of conditions such as accidents and injuries, muscular-skeletal problems,
diabetes, asthma, stress-related illnesses, obesity, digestive disorders,
uro-genital disorders, cancer, depression, anxiety, and other mental
and emotional disorders.
Areas of Yogic knowledge and healing practices you will learn:
* Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, and other guided visualization techniques
for the achievement of deep levels of physical and emotional release,
relaxation and healing
* Pranayama and meditation techniques specific to certain diseases and
doshic imbalances
* Yogic and Ayurvedic Diets appropriate to specific diseases
* Simple Ayurvedic aids to healing
* The use of Vedic Mantras for healing
At the end of this training participants will be eligible to become
Yoga Therapists at the 500 hour level.

Have the opportunity to not only study yoga, but also to practice the
lifestyle for personal healing and well-being on all levels.
The asana program includes learning how to safely move in and out of
and hold classical yoga postures, make modifications for special needs,
sequencing of postures. Students will learn how to develop a class,
demonstrate postures, practice good alignment and use breath. Classes
include recommended patterns and times for holding postures. Students
will also learn warm ups, self-massage, deep relaxation techniques and
restorative poses. Asanas are done with awareness and attention to alignment.
Each student is encouraged to practice at their own level and never
push, so as to prevent injury. Flow is also taught.
After graduating from this program, you will be eligible to become a
Nationally Certified Yoga Teacher.
